More Spring Training Games
February 26 game against the Texas Rangers saw the Sox hammer them by a score of 14 – 8. Twelve runs scored over three innings. Starter Nestor Molina and reliever Brian Omogrosso both pitched two scoreless innings, with Josh Phegley getting his first home run of the season. February 27th game also against the Rangers saw the White Sox improve their record [...]
Chicago White Sox Top 10 Prospects Update
I did a Chicago White Sox top 10 prospects piece right as Spring Training ended and here is how they have been doing through the first five weeks of the season.
1. Addison Reed, RP, Chicago White Sox- 13 GP 10 IP 0-0 0.00 ERA 5 hits 14 K 3 BB WHIP 0.923. Reed has been very good out of the White Sox bullpen, especially with the absence of Jesse Crain.

Molina looking to make quick impact
Even with a tremendous Spring Training showing, right-hander Nestor Molina doesn't figure into the immediate plans for the White Sox this season. Molina was the key piece for the South Siders in the offseason deal with Toronto involving Sergio Santos.
White Sox Top Twenty Prospects
John Sickels produced his Top Twenty White Sox prospect list and it’s sad to say that the system is pretty thin right now. Their top guy was given a B+ and you get into the C+’s pretty quickly. Topping the list is Nestor Molina who came over from the Blue Jays. The big question here [...]

The BP First Take: Thursday, December 22 by Daniel Rathman
The White Sox finished 16 games behind the Tigers in the AL Central last season and 12 games shy of the Rays for the wild card. Their farm system was one of the shallowest in baseball coming into the 2011 campaign, so there aren’t any immediate reinforcements to propel the ChiSox back into contention. A wholesale rebuilding process this offseason seemed inevitable.

Jays Trade Nestor Molina for Sergio Santos
The Jays complete their second trade in a week, shipping out Nestor Molina, the team's 6th best prospect according to, well, us. Molina goes to the north side of Chicago to join the White Sox. In return the Blue Jays reacquire Sergio Santos, who hit .183 for the team in AAA in 2008 before being claimed on waivers by the Twins. He then signed with the White Sox who converted him...

Chisox trade closer Santos to Jays for RHP Molina
The Chicago White Sox have traded closer Sergio Santos to the Toronto Blue Jays for pitching prospect Nestor Molina.
The teams announced the deal Tuesday at the winter meetings.

Santos was in Toronto's minor league system from 2006-08 as a shortstop. He converted...

Converted third baseman Molina a strike-thrower
So who is Nestor Molina? He’s a favorite of Marco Paddy, whom the Chicago White Sox just hired away from the Toronto Blue Jays to head Latin American operations, but he hardly was considered Toronto’s best prospect.
