Arrieta pitches gem; Orioles take two out three from Yankees, Wada
The Baltimore Orioles this season have continued to amaze me. We all know their next few weeks are going to be tough, but so far they are continuing to roll.
Last night, they defeated the New York Yankees, 6-0, in the Bronx. Jake Arrieta perhaps threw his best game as an Oriole, going eight shutout innings, striking out nine and stifling a tough New York lineup.

Orioles' Wada may be facing surgery
Lefty Tsuyoshi Wada has an injury to his left elbow and could be facing surgery. There was no specific terminology given to the injury, which Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter deemed "a problem" following Tuesday's 2-1 win over Toronto. Showalter stopped short of calling it a tear, but the issue is with the ligament in his
pitching elbow. It's an injury...

This afternoon, the Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves played to a 2-2, 10-inning tie in Buena Vista, FL. The positive news on the afternoon involved Tsuyoshi Wada, who made his first appearance of Spring Training, and gave up one run in two innings of work. He also struck out three batters. Wada does not throw particularly hard; however, his location was spot on when he pitched...

Wada Comes to Baltimore
This afternoon, the Baltimore Orioles introduced new pitcher, Japanese southpaw, Tsuyoshi Wada to Birdland in a press conference at Camden Yards. Being that I left work early, I got to watch some of Wada's press conference on MASN at the gym and he already endeared himself to me by taking the step of introducing himself in English. I’m sure that earned him points with the...
