Yesterday for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League, Mets 3B prospect Jefry Marte went 1 for 2 with an RBI and a strikeout. In 11 at bats so far for Peoria, Marte has four hits and four RBI.

The Arizona Fall League starts it’s 2011 season today, and the Mets have changed their minds on several player assignments to their affiliated team the Peoria Javelinas. They have assigned outfielder Juan Lagares, third-baseman Jefry Marte, and shortstop Wilfredo Tovar, as was previously announced.
