Alistair Overeem did not look like the same fighter we are accustomed to seeing in his last fight against Bigfoot Silva.  He looked sluggish, less aggressive, and had significantly less stamina.  After the fight Overeem submitted a blood sample as well as a urine sample due to his failed pre fight drug test nearly a year ago.  The blood test testosterone levels came back with a reading of 179 nanograms per deciliter.  The normal levels should read somewhere around 400.  This is a dangerously low reading, especially for a professional athlete.  So much so that most doctors would prescribe testosterone replacement therapy even if the patient was a non athlete.  The Nevada State Athletic Commission was not surprised by the readings however, since Overeem had been providing them with numerous samples throughout his suspension and all readings were consistently around 180 nanograms per deciliter.  It is questionable if Overeem would qualify for a TRT exemption due to his failed drug test...
