Clay Guida and Gray Maynard will square off in a key lightweight tilt at UFC on FX 3 on June 22nd. The bout will serve as the main event and will be competed over five rounds.
Guida and Maynard will both be looking to get back on the winning track after suffering losses in their most recent bouts.
Guida (29-12) was on the verge of a possible title shot after putting together a four fight winning streak which featured victories over Takanori Gomi and Anthony Pettis. However, he would drop a unanimous decision to Ben Henderson at UFC on Fox 1.
Maynard (10-1) gets to move on from his trilogy against rival Frankie Edgar to work his way back to a title shot in the tough lightweight division. He fought then-champion Edgar to a draw at UFC in 125 the suffered the first loss of his career when he was stopped at UFC 136.
UFC on FX 3 is expected to be the promotions return to Atlantic City, New Jersey.
