Dan Hardy Honest About Michael 'Venom' Page's Callout Of Leon Edwards Ahead Of UFC Debut: 'That's The Bit I Don't Like...'
Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Former UFC welterweight fighter Dan Hardy recently discussed Michael "Venom" Page's upcoming UFC debut.

A longtime fan favorite in Bellator, "MVP" is renowned for his slick striking and entertaining fighting style. At UFC 299, Page will make his long-awaited Octagon debut opposite Kevin Holland.

Ahead of the fight, Page has already teased his keen interest in making his way up to challenging UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards down the road. Currently sporting a professional MMA record of 21-2, "MVP" never managed to get his hands on the Bellator welterweight belt.

The now-36-year-old came painfully close to getting his hands on the interim Bellator gold back at Bellator 281. There, he fell to Logan Storley by way of a controversial split decision.

'I Don't Want To See Those Two Guys Fight' - Dan Hardy

During a recent interaction with MMA Crazy, former UFC title challenge challenger Dan Hardy was asked about Page's UFC arrival.

Despite being thrilled about "Venom" joining the UFC, Hardy was less than pleased with Page calling out Leon Edwards. A fan of both men, "The Outlaw" explained that he'd much rather see them both dominate the rest of the 170-pound division instead of locking horns.

"That's the bit I don't like," Hardy said. "Because I love both of those guys, right? And, like, of course, you know, if we've got two Brits fighting for a world title, that shows where British mixed martial arts is at, of course. But I don't want to see those two guys fight one another really. I want to see them both kind of carve up the division aside from that."
