Nick Diaz has only fought a single time in the last 18 months, a span that continues to expand as he remains voluntarily sidelined following his February UFC 158 welterweight championship defeat at the hands of Georges St-Pierre. In the days following his semi-retirement announcement in April -- Diaz's representative said he'd be willing to return for either a rematch against GSP or a bout against Anderson Silva -- it was widely assumed to be a temporary situation. Yet here we are, still waiting for the enigmatic 30-year-old to provide some clarity on the situation.
You can probably expect to keep on waiting. During a Thursday Google+ Hangout with FOX Sports , UFC president Dana White offered little reason for Diaz fans to be optimistic for a return anytime soon.
