Cody McKenzie tweeted early this morning that he will now face UFC newcomer Marcus LeVesseur at UFC on FUEL 3.
McKenzie was set to face Aaron Riley at the event until Riley was forced to pull out for an unknown reason.
UFC on FUEL 3 takes play May 15 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. The event will be headlined by a featherweight bout between top contenders Dustin Poirier and Chan Sung Jung.
LeVesseur is 21-5 in his professional mixed martial arts career. He is currently riding a three fight win streak and is 0-0 in the UFC thus far. In his last bout he defeated Taurean Bogguess via decision at MSC: High Stakes.
McKenzie is 12-2 in his professional mixed martial arts career. He is currently on a two fight losing streak and is 1-2 in the UFC thus far. In his last bout the Ultimate Fighter 12 alum was defeated by Vagner Rocha via second round submission at UFC Fight Night 25.
