One of the biggest upsets on the UFC on FOX 6 card came in the opening fight on the main card as Ricardo Lamas cut Erik Koch open in the second round and secured a TKO moments later. The win was Lamas’s fourth straight at featherweight and will likely put him in contention for a title shot against the winner between Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo.  Koch sent out a tweet of his injured eye this morning along with a caption that said “Damage from last night. Will not let that **** happen again lol.”. Koch was believed to be the next contender at featherweight, having already been scheduled to face Aldo twice in the last year but injuries to both competitors kept the bout from happening. Now it appears Koch will have to work his way back up the ladder before he may consider a title shot. Watch the highlight from Lamas vs. Koch here.

  • The pic he tweeted is a fake. For one thing, it was his right eye that was damaged. The pic shows damage to his left eye. It's possible that the image was reversed, but the main reason it's obvious the pic is a fake is that this pic was supposedly taken and tweeted within 24 hours of the fight. This is a pic of an injury that is much further along in the healing process. What happened Saturday to him would have more swelling, redness and bruising. And the cut under his eye in the pic is almost healed! Where are the stitches? Dude's eye was seriously messed up, and he's trying to hide it.
