'No Known Weaknesses!' - Erin Blanchfield Compared To Legendary Former UFC Champion Ahead Of Fight Night Headliner Against Manon Fiorot

24-year old Erin Blanchfield has been one of the hottest rising stars in the UFC over the past few years.

Since debuting in September of 2021, she has racked up six wins in the women's flyweight division with three of them coming by way of submission.

This weekend in Atlantic City, she takes top billing for the second time in a huge clash at the top of the division with Manon Fiorot.

The simple look at this match-up on paper would point to it being a traditional clash of striker vs grappler given their specific skillsets.

However, that doesn't do justice to what we have seen from Blanchfield and her constantly improving game inside the Octagon.

Chael Sonnen Uses A Statement That Was Made About Vitor Belfort To Praise Erin Blanchfield

In a recent episode of Good Guy/Bad Guy, Chael Sonnen and Daniel Cormier dived deeper into this weekend's main event at 125-pounds.

Sonnen used a reference from the much earlier days of the UFC to explain why he is so impressed by Blanchfield and her skill set.

Back then, being a specialist in one exact field was far more common but one fighter arrived and appeared to change that to some extent as Sonnen explained.

"The late Jeff Blatnick used to be an announcer for the UFC and this was some of the most chilling words that I had ever heard, I can even recreate it and still get the goose bumps. He was talking about Vitor Belfort and Vitor Belfort, right before he walked out, Jeff Blatnick used to always tell you what the strengths and weaknesses were and for Vitor he said and I quote 'no known weaknesses' and I remember where I was when I heard and felt that.

"I tell you that because for right now, that's where we're at with Blanchfield. We don't know that it's better to have her on her feet or use your hands or grind her up."
