As if Phil Davis (pictured) doesn’t have enough to worry about with a fight against submission specialist Vinny Magalhaes just one day away. TMZ.com has obtained legal documents filed in San Diego, California that state Davis and the mother of his child, Vantris Patterson, are in the middle of a nasty custody battle.
Patterson claims Davis of brutality, including violent sex. The report alleges Davis body slammed her on a couch with such force that the couch slid into the wall causing paint chips to peel off.
Furthermore, Patterson claims “Mr. Wonderful” would often choke her during intercourse. When she would beg for him to stop, Davis respond, “Shut the [expletive] up, *****.”
She adds the light heavyweight has threatened to kill her on numerous occasions if she ever slept with another man.
Patterson included pictures of the damage Davis supposedly inflicted.
Patterson blames Davis’ mixed martial arts career for his violent nature. She says, “I am afraid that the numerous fights have negatively impacted his mental stability,” and she can’t defend herself because of his “increased strength and attacking ability.”
In the report, Davis accuses Patterson of being the violent one. She posted a picture of a gun on her Facebook page with the caption, “His day will come.” Davis also says she texted him, “I can’t wait until the day you die so I can spit in ur face [painful and slow].”
The two are due in court May 7 where they’ll each request permanent restraining orders and full custody of their child.
Davis meets Magalhaes, another bitter rival, Saturday at UFC 159.
