Sean O'Malley has chimed in on Jamahal Hill relinquishing the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship due to an injury.

Hill captured the 205-pound gold back in January when he defeated Glover Teixeira via unanimous decision. Unfortunately for Hill, he will not be able to defend that title. Hill suffered a ruptured Achilles, reportedly during a basketball game that took place during UFC's International Fight Week.

Sean O'Malley hosted another episode of the "TimboSugarShow," along with his coach Tim Welch. O'Malley revealed to Welch that he often turns down those basketball games during fight week.

"Nuh-uh, that's literally what I told Schmo," O'Malley said. "He keeps inviting me to that s***. I'm like, 'Dude, I can't do that.' I told him."

Jon Jones hasn't had a light heavyweight fight since 2020. O'Malley thinks the division has been out of whack ever since.

"I know that division's been f****** crazy since Jon Jones hasn't been there," O'Malley said. "That sucks."

The light heavyweight division has had a string of bad luck since Jones moved up to heavyweight. The title has since been vacated twice. There was even a main event title fight for the vacant light heavyweight championship between Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev that ended in a draw.
