Colton Smith used a dominating ground game to defeat Mike Ricci to become this season Ultimate Fighter 16 winner. In the main event of the night, Roy Nelson recorded a first round finish with a technical knockout of Matt Mitrione. At the conclusion of the event UFC officials announced that the following fighters were awarded $40K bonuses for their performances.
