Two-sport ONE World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai has identified a critical weakness in opponent Jonathan Di Bella’s game ahead of their highly anticipated rematch for the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title unification bout at ONE Fight Night 36: Prajanchai vs. Di Bella II on Friday, October 3. The 30-year-old Thai champion looks to unify the kickboxing crown against the Italian-Canadian interim titleholder in a rematch of their June 2024 clash that saw Prajanchai claim vacant gold via unanimous decision.

Prajanchai Targets Di Bella’s Backward Movement

The reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion revealed his approach after studying footage from their previous encounter with his coaching staff. Prajanchai believes aggressive forward pressure will exploit a fundamental flaw in Di Bella’s fighting style.

“When I watched the tapes from our last fight and talked to my head coach, he said it was better for me to walk forward. When he backs up, his offense isn’t effective. He doesn’t know how to fight while moving backwards,” the Bangkok native explained.

The Thai striker’s 344 career victories and 7-1 promotional record demonstrate his ability to implement effective game plans against elite competition. His most recent title defense came in February 2025 when he stopped Ellis Badr Barboza via fourth-round TKO to retain his Muay Thai crown.

Two-Sport King Prajanchai Seeks Early Finish

Prajanchai expressed his desire for a definitive and explosive conclusion to their title unification bout, suggesting both fighters should engage in all-out warfare from the opening bell. The Thai’s confidence stems from his exceptional physical conditioning and overwhelming veteran experience.

“I want to end this fight quickly, either you or me. Let’s settle it. I want to trade with him. Whether it’s punches or anything else. My body feels like it can fight for 12 or 15 rounds right now. Five rounds are not enough,” Prajanchai said.

The aggressive approach reflects Prajanchai’s finishing mentality, which has made him one of the most dangerous strikers in the strawweight division across both Muay Thai and kickboxing.

The Thai Anticipates Defensive Adjustments

Despite his confidence, Prajanchai acknowledged that Di Bella will likely address the vulnerabilities exposed in their first encounter. The Thai champion specifically expects improved knee defense while preparing counter-strategies for his opponent’s strengths.

“He’ll definitely work on his defense against the knees because I hit him with a lot of knees in our last fight. I’ll also have a plan to counter his strengths,” Prajanchai offered.

Di Bella captured the ONE Interim Strawweight Kickboxing World Title by defeating Sam-A at ONE 172, earning this opportunity to unify the division’s gold against the man who handed him his only professional defeat. The Italian-Canadian seeks redemption while Prajanchai aims to establish undisputed supremacy in the strawweight kickboxing division.

ONE Fight Night 36 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, October 3. The action begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
