The Montreal Science Center on King Edward Pier in the Old Port was the setting for yesterdays UFC 154 press conference. As expected, a welterweight title unification bout between Georges St. Pierre and Carlos Condit was officially announced. UFC Director of Canadian Ops Tom Wright played the role of Dana White during a presser that saw both combatants play the "respect" card.

Below you can find some notes and quotes from this event along with the full video after the break.

"I've never been so pumped up in my life to step into the Octagon again." - GSP
"I enjoy playing the role of the bad guy coming into somebody elses hometown and trying to defeat them." - Carlos Condit

• It'll be 19 months (567) since St. Pierre last fought when he steps into the cage with Condit on November 17th.

• Both fighters expressed that they are not focusing on each others weaknesses, because there are none. Instead they are focusing on their own strengths.

• Chris Luttrell, one of the found members of Jackson's MMA, is heading up the Condit camp.

"My goal in this sport is to be the best in the world, and Georges is the best fighter in the welterweight division....So to be the best I have to beat Georges. I feel like I did the right thing in waiting for Georges. As far as how I use my time? There's a lot of things in my game that I need to improve on. Constant improvement. When you feel like you know everything that's when you plateau. Recently I have found there's a lot that I don't know." - Condit on whether or not waiting 9 months for GSP was the right move
• Housekeeping notes from Mr. Wright - The third weekend in March will be the Montreal fight date for the promotion on a regular basis starting in 2013. The third weekend in September will remain as the yearly regular date for Toronto.

"For me in my contract I was supposed to defend my title every year, and I couldn't do it because of injury. The champion for me is Carlos Condit, and it's up to me to take the title so I'm going for the title shot." - St. Pierre believes he will be standing across from a Carlos Condit who will be making his first title defense in the 170 lb division
"I'm not the official champ. Until somebody beats him [Georges] he is the undisputed champion. Until I beat him, I don't feel like I'm the true champion." - Condit's rebuttal
"Carlos is a true gentleman. I'm a gentleman. November 17 we will not be gentleman to each other. We will try to knock each other out." - GSP
