He's done it before, and he's confident he can do it again. Junior dos Santos was able to hand current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez his first career loss two years ago, knocking him out on prime time television at the inaugural UFC on FOX 1 event in Anaheim, California, ending his reign before it ever began with one well-placed punch to the dome. And while Cain absolutely demolished and manhandled "Cigano" in their rematch last year at UFC 155, the heavy-hitting Brazilian knows he will have the chance for a trilogy fight (and perhaps more) and is confident he can defeat him again. But when asked during this week's UFC 160 media conference call if he was the only one who had the tools to defeat the current 265-pound champ, a humble Junior says that simply isn't the case, contrary to popular belief. His words: "I'm not sure I'm the only one that can beat Cain Velasquez, I don't know about that. I'm sure that I can beat Cain, I'm one of the people who is capable of doing that. I am sure Cain and I am going to fight each other many times throughout our careers. There is still going to be a lot of Velasquez vs. Dos Santos fights. We are both at another level." After suffering a lopsided unanimous decision loss to Velasquez five months ago, "Cigano" says he has come to terms with his devastating defeat. After all, it's part of the sport, as "Cigano" proclaims Cain was simply the better man that night. "It was very difficult to accept my loss to Cain, of course I was upset. But, Cain was better than me. He fought better than me. He did a better job. You realize that is what this sport is all about. That was his day. He deserved to win that night so it became easy for me to accept (the loss,) it's just part of the sport." Dos Santos is scheduled to face a resurgent Mark Hunt — if he can get his visa issues in order — in the co-main event of UFC 160 on May 25, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. With a win, Dos Santos is guaranteed a title shot against the winner of the night's headlining act, which features a rematch between the aforementioned champion, Velasquez, taking on "Cigano's" fellow countryman, Antonio Silva. Should Silva and "JDS" prove victorious, the two friends have made it clear they will in fact fight one another as long as a title is on the line. Should that be the case, Junior is still prepared to face Cain somewhere down the road on more than one occasion. And that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing., http://juicedsportsblog.com/sports-news/news/ufc-160-is-junior-dos-santos-the-only-one-who-can-beat-cain-velasquez
