There were plenty of questions surrounding Georges St-Pierre (Pictured) when he stepped inside the Octagon at UFC 154. How will his 19-month hiatus affect his performance? Will the reigning welterweight king and his surgically-repaired right knee ever be the same? For his bosses, will their biggest pay-per-view draw still be able to generate the numbers required to maintain his meal ticket status given his extended sabbatical? St-Pierre supplied emphatic responses to all of those inquiries: A tad rusty, but still dominant; Good enough to post a lopsided unanimous decision victory over white hot interim champ Carlos Condit to unify the 170-pound crown; CHA-CHING! Although UFC president Dana White wouldn’t divulge how many fans purchased the November 17th PPV broadcast, he was more than pleased with his golden boy’s return. “GSP delivered again. It was awesome, it was a great weekend for us,” White boasted during Tuesday’s conference call. “It was a good show. The king of pay-per-view is back, let’s put it that way.” While the UFC never releases their PPV numbers, it has been reported St-Pierre has generated at least 700,000 units purchased in each of his past six fights.
