Rousey vs. Tate II will close out the UFC's 2013 campaign 'Alpha' Cat Zingano will be unable to coach the next season of the Ultimate Fighter opposite Ronda Rousey due to a knee injury that will keep her on the shelf for up to nine months. This means that Zingano will not be able to compete for Rousey's title at a yet to be numbered year end December pay-per-view either. So who will take over the women's #1 contender duties? It will be none other than the fighter that Zingano stopped to get this opportunity of a lifetime - Miesha 'Cupcake' Tate.  For the UFC, and the brand new FOX Sports 1 channel that will debut on August 17th, this news promises ratings gold. It's no secret that there is no love lost between Rousey and Tate. You could cut the tension with a knife in any room that these two shared leading up to their instant classic of a title fight last winter in Columbus. It was the fight that forced Dana White to bring the first women's division into the UFC due to the heat that these two competitors rivalry produced. It was the rivalry of 2012, and apparently chapter two will begin sooner than we thought.   Yahoo! Sports reported earlier today that Zingano had injured her knee two weeks ago during a workout. Rousey had no idea about the injury, or Tate being brought in as a replacement until the opening scenes for this season were shot. Talking about some entertaining television.  When Rousey takes to the cage opposite Tate later this year she'll be coming off her second successful title defense. 'Rowdy' was able to secure her patented armbar on Liz Carmouche after an early scare at UFC 157 during the first UFC women's fight in company history. Following a snoozefest of a co-main event between Lyoto Machida and Dan Henderson; Rousey and Carmouche put on a show that lived up to its main event status, quieting all of the naysayers that didn't believe women belonged on the UFC roster.  Tate was originally scheduled to take on Carmouche at UFC on FOX 8 in Seattle live on FOX. A replacement for Carmouche has yet to be found at this time. The likely move for the promotion would be to promote MMA veteran and Invicta FC commentator Julie Kedzie to main card status against Carmouche. We will keep you posted on all developments concerning these matters as the news becomes available to us.  TUF 18: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate will premiere on Wednesday September 4th on the FOX Sports 1 network.  Related Articles: • Rumor: TUF 18 cast members revealed • TUF 18: Connections between the rumored female cast members • Rousey to coach TUF 18 against the winner of Tate vs. Zingano • Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey Weigh-In
