Start 'N' Park Blog:
The NASCAR season is back upon us and it is time to get you caught up with everything that happened in the offseason. Start ‘N’ Park Blog will be going through their list of drivers running the full schedule in 2013 and telling you what you can expect from those drivers in the new year. Today’s entry is the driver of the #18 M&M’s Toyota, Kyle Busch.
Driver: Kyle Busch
Sponsor(s): M&M’s/Interstate Batteries/Snickers/Double Mint
Team: Joe Gibbs Racing
Crew Chief: Dave Rogers
2012 Finish: 13th
What’s new for 2013: Nothing changed for this team other than locking down Busch for the long haul.
Mike’s Rank: 4th
Mike’s Take: There’s no way Kyle Busch doesn’t make the Chase in 2013. He can’t be shut out, he had it last year and let Jeff Gordon beat him at Richmond. He will not let that happen again. Look for him to win more than one race and compete for the title. If not, look for Dave Rogers to be out of a job.
Jason’s Rank: 5th
Jason’s Take: With the new car and a new outlook for Busch, he will be very good all season long like he has been in the past but a mistake in the Chase will cost him a shot at the championship. Busch will be very dangerous in each and every race which will result in many wins for the No.18 team.
Brandon’s Rank: 11th
Brandon’s Take: Kyle Busch won 1 race in 2012 but ultimately failed to make the Chase. Consistency and speed will be key for the 18 team.
Brittany’s Rank: 2nd
Brittany’s Take: Towards the end of 2012 he was racing a lot harder and if he was in the Chase he could have made a run at the title.
