Following one of the craziest finishes in Talladega history Earnhardt lashed out at NASCAR for the current competition package at Daytona and Talladega that has led to the latest 25-car pileup at the 2.66-mile superspeedway.Here is the transcript of Earnhardt’s postrace interview following the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 at Talladega:
Q: IS YOUR HEAD OKAY?
Dale Jr.: Yeah, I just took a lot of hard shots.
Q: WHAT HAPPENED FROM YOUR PERSPECTIVE?
Dale Jr.: I couldn’t see really. Somebody on the bottom got turned and we just all crashed. I couldn’t really tell how it started.
