SOUTH BOSTON, VA (May 31, 1986) – Jack Ingram put his #11 Pantry/Skoal Bandit Pontiac first when it mattered and won the Pepsi 200 from the South Boston Speedway. Tommy Houston, Larry Pearson, L.D. Ottinger, and Brett Bodine rounded out the top-5 finishers. Ingram led a race high 70 laps on his way to the victory. Pearson and Dale Jarrett were the other drivers to lead laps, 62 and 68 respectfully. Other notables that day included Jarrett (6th), Elton Sawyer (8th), Mike Alexander (21st), and Rick Mast (25th).
