Greg Biffle, yes the points leader, enters Darlington with two career wins and five Top 5′s to his name. Greg has appeared in 11 races at the 1.366 mile round track, picking up wins in the May races in 2005 and 2006. Actually, the lone time Greg started on the pole at Darlington, he winded up 43rd, no joke. No. 16 just beat out Jimmie Johnson for his second pole of the season with a 180.257 qualifying speed, compared to Jimmie’s 179.566.

Defending winner, Regan Smith,  driver of the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing chevy will start 9th tonight when he tries to defend whats his. Smith last year led only 11 laps, but it sure as heck got the job done. You take what you can get at Darlington, it can really mess with your head. In fact, one of the greatesr drivers ever to set tire on a racetrack, Tony Stewart, has never won here. Yeah, it’s THAT tough.

Stewart seeks win:

Speaking of Smoke…. “There are some tracks that have been easier tracks for me and then there are tracks that have been tougher,” he said. ”This one, not getting a victory here, that is proof this is a tougher track for me.” “It’s not an easy track”.

Tony will be making his 20th start at the track “Too tough to tame”, and still remains winless. The number 20, Tony Stewart? Hmm, not like they have anything to do with eachother. If he can win two championships with the number 20, why can’t he win a race in his 20th start at the track? Game face, Smoke.

Danica’s Darlington debut:

Who said racing was only for boys? Ladies and gentlemen start your engines, literally. Danica Patrick will be making her second career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start tonight. Patrick has 10 starts in the Nationwide series this year, racking up five Top 20 finish’s, she even has one Pole to her name. Hey, she may not be starting in the top 35, but she is starting. The key for Danica will be to finish. Patrick was not sucsessful in doing so at Daytona. We will see, though.
