However days after the race, many are still grumbling that the new format, which placed emphasis on running well in every segment, didn’t bring excitement back to the race that we all have aligned in our minds with such great moments as “The Pass In The Grass” the time that Rusty spun Darrell and of course “One Hot Night”. So how do we spice the race back up to epic status? Personally, I like Bruton Smith’s $1 million bonus, but in order to have it cause spectacular moments it can’t be eliminated from consideration after segment two like was the case Saturday night. How about this: after three segments you take the average running order of the field, just like they did Saturday after segment four, but this time they invert the top-15 on that list for the four...
