Ricky Stenhouse Jr. climbs into Kyle Busch pit box, parks in his stall after getting wrecked by No. 8 car
Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

The night is over for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. after a run-in with Kyle Busch on the track. He made sure to park his car in Busch’s pit stall. This NASCAR All-Star Race is already getting chippy and heated just a couple of laps into things.

Kyle Busch felt that Ricky Stenhouse Jr. ran him up into the wall a bit. Well, coming back around on the other end of the track, Busch put his bumper to him and sent Stenhouse to the outside wall.

In response, the 47 car was parked in the pit stall of the No. 8 team. Then it was towed away. Stenhouse is not going to be happy with Busch after all of this. But Rowdy is still on the track right now, Ricky is not.

Stenhouse even talked to Busch’s crew chief on the pit box after this.

The thing is, Kyle Busch may have overreacted. On the replay, it did not appear that Stenhouse pinched Busch. He shot a gap for position and the two made contact. He wasn’t forcing the 8 car up the track.

Then again, maybe Busch just doesn’t care. He got put into the wall early and didn’t take kindly to it. So, was Busch in the wrong here? When a driver gets put into the wall, it isn’t always a simple answer.

The thing is, Stenhouse can’t leave the infield. The gate is closed. So, he’s going to watch Kyle Busch race and fume. Then, he might hand Richard Childress his watch and have at it with the RCR driver. Those are Ricky’s words, more or less, not mine.

Kyle Busch sets the tone early

Under the lights, with the full moon high above the track, the NASCAR All-Star Race began. When it comes to winning $1,000,000 there are no accidents. So, I can’t blame Busch for getting aggressive and wanting retaliation.

Rowdy has now set the tone. This race is going to be physical on restarts. Drivers are not going to mess around and let themselves be bullied by others if they can help it. With his move on Stenhouse, Busch has let the rest of the field know he means business.

The only problem is, Busch will have to deal with the consequences after the race. Stenhouse does not appear like he is going to get over this any time soon. While that could mean a lot of different things, it appears a confrontation is brewing.

Will Ricky Stenhouse Jr. still be ready to brawl after sitting in the infield for 198 laps? I’m not so sure. Someone should warn Kyle Busch, though.
