Biggest Strength: Offensive system
It's clear no matter what players he has Mike D'Antoni can get them to put points on the board. The Knicks were 23rd in the NBA last season but they ranked 17th in offensive efficiency and 12th in eFG%. They have a versatile Al Harrington who can score inside and out. Nate Robinson is a ball of fire on offense and Duhon does a decent job of distributing the rock in this high octane offense.
The other benefit of this offense is it sometimes gets their opponent to fall into the trap of playing the same way and that allows the Knicks to stay in some games.
Biggest Weakness: Defense
28th in eFG% allowed. These guys don't defend, don't think about defending and couldn't defend even if they tried. It's not w...

Knicks Singing Skills Potentially Worse than On-Court Action
So, the Knicks season opener is tonight in Miami. And, although I tend to mock the franchise and even feign an all-out split, I can't hide that I still watch - on occasion. Tonight will not be one of those instances. Nevertheless, I thought it my civic obligation to head over to knicks.com and at least educate myself. It was there I was treated to the latest "Know Your Knicks" feature...
Get Ready for Knicks Basketball!
Prospective GM's, get him now! Only owed $10.5m this year and $11m+ next! (via)This caught my eye today:Eddy Curry won't be with the team as the regular season begins. The Knicks still have him working on his own to cut down more weight and get him able to be able to play at the speed the Knicks want him to play without getting hurt. It seems pretty obvious the franchise views Curry...

Take A Tour Of Eddy Curry’s Body
Yes, it’s that time again, friends. Time for another edition of MPS’ Tattoo U. This time around, it’s New York Knicks center Eddy Curry. Turns out Curry got some of his tattoos at sixteen — scandalous! — and was inspired by Allen Iverson to start on his tattoo habit.
The moving pictures:
Thankfully, he wasn’t sitting on [...]
Maccabi Coach to Knicks: ‘I’m Sorry’
The coach who briefly lost his marbles during an exhibition game at MSG apologized to the Knicks for his actions: “Having had time to reflect on my actions while our team was in New York, I would like to apologize to the New York Knicks franchise, the NBA and basketball fans not only at Madison Square Garden but throughout the country,’ Gershon wrote. ‘Our trip to the U.S....
Toney's Father Knows Best: An Interview With Harry Douglas, III
Toney Douglas, the over all 29th pick of the 2009 draft, is poised to make an immediate impact on the New York Knicks rotation. A savvy, NBA ready point guard from Florida State, Douglas is likely to see more minutes than the Knicks lottery pick, Jordan Hill. In an interview with Toney's father, Harry Douglas, III, we can see why Toney is so level-headed and likely to have a...

Jennings to start Opening Night, Hill not in Rotation
Earlier this evening I came across the news that Brandon Jennings, the Bucks first round draft pick this season would be in the starting lineup I instantly dropped my head in disgust.
Let me explain.
Mr. Walsh has passed on two outstanding talents these past two drafts for Danilo Gallinari and Jordan Hill. Which talents am [...]
Miami Heat 115, New York Knicks 93
The Heat smoked the Knicks 34-15 in the third quarter and that pretty much sealed this game for them. The Heat shot 56.6% from the floor while holding the Knicks to 37.9% shooting from the floor which helps explain the final score. Dwyane Wade led the way as usual for the Heat tonight [...]
