Using NBA 2K13 on XBOX 360 we are going to be simulating each game of the NBA Finals and posting the results the day of each game. We have the most up to date roster, the most accurate rotations and minutes per player on each team and udpated player tendencies, which will result in simulations that will give us realistic scores and stats. We will break down each game, quarter by quarter and talk about players who played well, and players who really struggled.Game 1 - Thursday, June 6th, 2013 San Antonio Spurs @ Miami Heat9:00 PM on ABCBreakdown Quarter 1 - Spurs 21 Heat 20The Spurs are using their size advantage at the power forward and center position as Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter combine to go 4-7 from the field and score 12 points. Dwyane Wade is off to a hot start, knocking down 4 of his first 6 shots to lead the Heat with 8 points. Lebron James is 2-4 from the field with 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal, looking like another triple double performance is coming.Quarter 2 - Spurs 41 Heat 39Once again we see a close, competitive quarter as the Spurs take a 2 point lead heading into the half. We are seeing a vintage Tim Duncan as he goes into the half with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Tony Parker has 8 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Kawhi Leonard was held scoreless in the first half, but the bigger story is the defense he is playing on Lebron who is just 4-12 in the half with 11 points. Wade leads all scorers with 14.Quarter 3 - Heat 67 Spurs 62The Heat's offense rebounds in the second half and scores 28 points in the quarter, jumping out to a 5 point lead heading into the 4th. Lebron shoots 5-9 in the quarter and scores 16 points. Chris Bosh is not very active, as he only has 9 points and 4 rebounds at this point in the game. The Birdman, Chris Andersen is providing defense and energy off the bench with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. Tim Duncan did not have a single point or rebound in the quarter and I think Andersen was the reason for his poor play in the quarter. Danny Green leads the Spurs with 13 points on 5-7 shooting.Quarter 4 - Heat 96 Spurs 81The Heat outscore the Spurs 29-19 in the 4th, to put this game out of reach. Miami outscored San Antonio 57-40 in the half. San Antonio really struggled with their 3-point shot in the 4th, going 0-7. Miami did a great job on the glass and finished -2 on the boards for the night. SummaryI'm not sure if this was a defensive battle or an offensive struggle, as the Heat shot 45% and the Spurs shot 40%. It looked early on as if the Spurs were going to dominate the paint and the glass, but Duncan and Splitter combined to score 6 points in the second half after scoring 18 in the 1st half. Once the bigs for San Antonio became a non factor, the Spurs tried to live and die by the 3 ball and they really struggled from behind the arch, hitting just 2 of 21 attempts. Ginobili was just 1-8 from downtown and 5-14 from the field in the game. Tony Parker who was in some foul trouble early, was pretty sloppy with 5 turnovers but still had a nice game with 18/6/5. Although he only took 9 shots all night, Bosh was pretty effective with his 11 points and 8 rebounds but I would like to see him get more involved offensively. The Heat have to like what they saw from Wade out there as he scored 29 points on 13-21 shooting. Despite the poor shooting, Lebron put up nice number, although not typical Lebron numbers, which has to be scary for the Spurs. If Wade can continue playing like he did in game 1 and Lebron gets back to his extremely effective play, then the Spurs are in for a long series and won't be able to stop the two of them. Box ScoreHeatLebron James - 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 blockDwyane Wade - 29 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 blockChris Bosh - 11 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assistRay Allen - 10 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assistsMario Chalmers - 10 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 blockNorris Cole - 6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assistsMike Miller - 3 points, 1 rebound, 1 blockShane Battier - 2 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 blockUdonis Haslem - 1 point, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 blockChris Andersen - 0 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 3 blocksSpursTony Parker - 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assistsDanny Green - 15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 stealTim Duncan - 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocksManu Ginobili - 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 blockTiago Splitter - 11 points, 7 rebounds, 1 blockKawhi Leonard - 5 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 stealGary Neal - 4 pointsMatt Bonner - 2 points, 2 reboundsBoris Diaw - 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 stealCory Joseph - 0 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assistsTeam StatsField Goal Percentage - Heat 45% (37/82) / Spurs 40% (34/83)3 Pointers - Heat 38% (7/18) / Spurs 9% (2/21)Free Throws - Heat 62% (15/24) / Spurs 73% (11/15)Fast Break Points - Heat 6 / Spurs 18Points in the Paint - Heat 44 / Spurs 502nd Chance Points - Heat 14 / Spurs 15Bench Points - Heat 21 / Spurs 19Assists - Heat 23 / Spurs 19OFF Rebounds - Heat 14 / Spurs 15DEF Rebounds - Heat 37 / Spurs 38Steals - Heat 6 / Spurs 6Blocks - Heat 9 / Spurs 4Turnovers - Heat 10 / Spurs 14
