Forrest Gump would like this series a lot. Why? Because there will be lots and lots of RUNNING. The Nuggets and Warriors enter the 2013 Playoffs as sexy teams to watch out for, and this series will entertain, as well as bring some fresh names to the "Hey He's Pretty Good At Basketball!" table. In their four matchups this season (DEN leads 3-1) only once did a team score under 100 points, and even with the intensity of playoff basketball, offense may prevail when these stallions are freed from the stable.
The Nuggets, once picked by Ben Kenna to head to the NBA Finals, lost a big piece when Danilo Gallinari tore his ACL, but they have been one of the deepest teams in the NBA this season. A look at their roster, with backups, looks like this:
PG Ty Lawson, Andre Miller
SG Evan Fournier, Corey Brewer
SF Andre Iguodala, Wilson Chandler
PF Kenneth Faried, JaVale McGee
C Kosta Koufos, Timofey Mosgov
Lawson is the...

Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried said Sunday that he will play in Game 2 of the Nuggets’ first-round playoff series against the Golden State Warriors on Tueaday night. Faried sat out of the Nuggets’ 97-95 victory in Gmae 1 on Saturday with an ankle injury.
For the Golden State Warriors success is not something they are used to. In the last 19 seasons the team has made the post season one other time, in the '06-07 season. Otherwise you have to look back to the 1993-94 campaign--when Chris Webber was Rookie of the Year.
After a solid season this year the Warriors were looking to take advantage of a Nuggets team that had been hit...
After the Warriors David Lee's hip injury knocked him out of the playoffs, Pacers center Roy Hibbert offered his support ... in a really backhanded sort of way.
The Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors will face each other in the 1st round of the West Playoffs, which should be a very high scoring series. Both teams are among the best in the NBA on offense and scoring, with multiple players on both teams who can score 20+ points on any given day. This will be a very exciting playoff series.
Yes the Nuggets have lost Danilo Gallinari,...
It’s a shame one of theses teams had to lose this game because both teams battled from the beginning to the end, in what was an exciting game. Denver Nuggets veteran point guard Andre Miller was virtually unstoppable all game and with the score tied with 14.5 seconds to go, he put the team on his back.

Denver Nuggets center Javale McGee’s athletic ability is off the charts. The question has just always been whether or not he has it all together upstairs as well. This dunk against Andrew Bogut of the Warriors shows that when he does have it together, the finished product can spectacular.
Tweet In game one of the NBA Playoffs between the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets, Warriors forward David Lee went down with an apparent leg injury early in the fourth quarter, seen here: Now, CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berg is reporting that Lee will be out for the rest of the season with [...]
Golden State at Denver
This might be the first round series I am looking the most forward to watching. The Nuggets with their style of play and killer home numbers makes them the most intriguing team in this whole field. I didn’t get a ton of chances to just sink right into a lot of their games during the regular season and cant wait to do so now that the playoffs have started...
It only took the second game of the 2013 NBA playoffs to possibly have the best “poster dunk” of these playoffs. As you might figure, Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee had something to do with it.
The play happened in the second quarter of game one between the Nuggets and the Warriors as McGee took a feed from Andre Igoudala and threw down a terribly nasty dunk on Andrew Bogut:
The playoffs are coming, which means NBA fans will be bombarded with talk about LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant. And with good reason. April, May and June are when true stars shine and pretend ones fade, and all three of those bona fide superstars have experience with both triumph and failure.
It takes more than one player to win a championship, however, and even James...
That scuffle between the Warriors and Pacers in February, for all the wrong reasons, was one of the more enjoyable moments of Golden State’s season thus far. To jog your memory, Roy Hibbert and David Lee got involved in a shoving contest, Hibbert went Incredible Hulk on Steph Curry, and Mychal Thomspon clowned his son.
For their efforts in igniting the fracas, Lee and Hibbert...
Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee put Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut on a poster with this monster dunk.
