The list of domestic situations allegedly involving the NBA continues to grow this off season with 76′ers forward Royce White and Pistons head coach Maurice Cheeks taking center stage. White is being investigated for an incident that took place on June 22nd. White’s ex-girlfriend, Maxim model Tania Mehra filed a police report August 30th claiming White caused a cut to her face. Per TMZ, law enforcement records note someone called 911 on June 22, 2013 to report a laceration above Tania’s right eye. Cops say at the time, Tania claimed she suffered the injury from an “accidental fall.” “The victim said she had lied earlier because the suspect played for the NBA and did not want the incident to damage his career.” Law enforcement also tells us, “The victim stated that White had assaulted her after she became angered by his advances toward her friend.” She’s also claiming Royce through a candle holder at her head that shattered a mirror. Recent reports have indicated that the Sixers don’t appear to be fully vested in White being with the team long term. Meanwhile, newly minted Detroit Pistons head coach Maurice Cheeks was questioned about a domestic Incident in the suburb of Birmingham, MI. Cheeks was not arrested. And finally, details of the alleged incident between Oklahoma City Thunder guard DeAndre Liggins and his girlfriend Jasmine Horton. The probable cause affidavit accuses DeAndre of hitting Horton in the head with an Xbox, kicking her and more, all in front of their two-year-old son. Horton locked herself in a bedroom before Liggins reportedly kicked in the door, pushed her down, dropped a fan on her, stomped her with his foot and dropped an Xbox on her head … Horton had injuries on her arm and fingers as well as scratches on her back and bruising on her chest, according to the Oklahoma City police officer who wrote the affidavit.
