BOSTON -- The Philadelphia 76ers, still playing without injured center Andrew Bynum, won their second straight game on a three-game road trip Friday night, outlasting the Boston Celtics 106-100. Evan Turner scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds and four assists and Jrue Holiday had 21 points, 14 assists and four boards. The Sixers, awaiting Bynum's return from his latest knee woes and his debut with his new team, moved to 3-2 on the season. Philadelphia, which allowed just 62 points while beating the host New Orleans Hornets on the first stop on the trip, overcame a 1-for-10 shooting start and took an 11-10 lead. The Sixers led by as many as 16 and held off every charge by the Celtics, who saw a two-game winning streak end to fall to 2-3, 1-2 at home. The visitors spoiled another stellar performance by Boston's Rajon Rondo, who had 20 assists and 14 points in his fifth double-double in as many games. Dorell Wright and Thaddeus Young added 15 points for the Sixers, w...

We often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics. Here’s a look at some enemy chatter from Washington.
With 2:02 left in the overtime period, and the Wizards down, 93-92, Bradley Beal had the ball in his hands looking to make a play. He dribbled up the right side of the floor, got caught under the basket, left his feet, and passed...

Celtics vs. 76ers
November 10, 1979
It’s fair to say Larry Bird never saw anyone quite like Julius Erving during his time at Indiana State.
Undaunted by the one of the most premiere players in the league, Bird and the Celtics entered Philadelphia intending to make a statement that they were the best team in the East. The 76ers, however, were not overly impressed...
MILWAUKEE - Sometimes a complex game like basketball can be so simple. A game that featured 17 lead changes and multiple momentum swings can be summed up pretty easily. "They made shots when it counted," Bucks guard Monta Ellis said. "It was a hard-fought game. They made more shots than we did and they came out with the (win)."Saturday'sgame was even at 74...

The Celtics trail the 76ers at the half 57-45 as the Sixers perimeter players combined for 34 points with 8 assists for Jrue Holiday. Spencer Hawes had some nice second chance baskets late in the second quarter and shut KG out of the paint for most of the half. Despite his legendary headband-mullter combination, Hawes [...]

Who are you again?
Bradley Beal was taken #3 overall in the draft this past June by Washington. He had a nice game last night, posting 16 points and 4 rebounds while knocking down a few threes. Afterwards the Wizards rookie had this to say about the Celtics:
We know they're vulnerable. We know that they are an aggressive team, but they are a lot older then we are so we...
