76ers Replace Kenneth Lofton With Former Raptors Guard
USA Today

The Philadelphia 76ers have filled the vacant two-way slot they freed up on Friday night.

According to The Atheltic’s Shams Charania, the Sixers plan to sign Jeff Dowtin Jr. to a two-way deal. Dowtin replaces Kenneth Lofton, who was waived on Friday night.

This season, Downtin signed with the Sixers’ G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. He appeared in 16 games, drawing 14 starts while averaging 32 minutes on the floor.

The veteran guard has produced 18 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field and 38 percent from deep. In addition to his scoring, Dowtin has averaged six assists, three rebounds, and one steal per game at the G League level.

With the addition of Dowtin, the Sixers filled their third and final two-way slot once again. Dowtin joins the rookie guard Terquavion Smith and the rookie forward Ricky Council.
