Mr. “Machine”-

I hope this message finds you in good health and good spirits. I’m confident that your $15 million contract is affording you the lavish lifestyle you feel you deserve. On to more pressing matters…

What the hell are you doing, man? Seriously! From a fan’s perspective, you seem completely useless on the court. Whenever you come into a game, everyone in the room watching with me mumbles under their breath something along the lines of “Here comes a team foul in the next 30 seconds.”

  • I love this post. Love it!

Don't forget -- Vujacic gave himself that nickname, according to Doug Collins. Who gives himself a nickname?
  • No, it was long time local (LA) broadcasters Stu Nantz and Joel Meyers that gave him this name.
  • Someone on this page said it was Spiro Dedes.

Regardless, Doug Collins said over and over in last year's playoffs that Vujacic kept mentioning his nickname. The way that he played this year, he should have it stripped.
  • His name is Spero not Spiro.
Journalism is in trouble if we have to cite random anonymous Yahoo Answers for facts.
But, obviously I agree. I never liked Sasha's excessive crying after foul calls and his alleged defense (which consists of running around frantically and slapping the ball handler until a foul is called). His three point shooting was his only redeeming quality. On another note, Vujacic's website prominently advertises game 2 as "Sasha vs. the Nuggets". That is pure self-absorbed comedy.
  • Sasha Vujacic is killing me. Why even play this guy with the way Shannon Brown and Ariza are playing? They are outshooting the shooter and are actually excelling at other things as well.
  • I'm a Boston and Denver fan, but yeah gotta admit that the Lakers who really stepped up are Ariza and Brown. Kobe is Kobe, Fisher and Odom are soft, Gasol is great, and the rest I couldn't care less.
  • Sasha is garbage, how can a person with this low grade of talent have a nickname?"Machine"...are u kidding me?
  • What I hate about hearing is how he hits every shot in practice, blindfolded, etc, etc...if that is the case his name should be the Mental -- not the Machine.
  • LOL.
  • Yeah, Sasha is having a terrible year. I believe it's 100% mental. He's got performance anxiety and can't get it up for games. 25% FG% is terrrrrrible. Shannon Brown deserves every minute that he takes away from Sasha.
  • Go Denver!!!!

LOS ANGELES, CA (Sportsman’s Daily Wire Service) — After Game 1 at the Staples Center, a triumphant Kobe Bryant left the floor and headed under the stands to the locker room where Vanessa Bryant and the couple’s two children waited, providing viewers at home with a warm Hallmark moment. Lakers vs Nuggets: Game 2 Breakdown

For my first post in god knows how long, I’m here watching the game breaking down specific plays and analyzing their effects. Lakers win the tip and push the ball inside to give Bynum a chance to get going early. Pau Gasol is called for a three second violation, which has been happening far too often [...]

Fine-tuning the Lakers for game 3

The Lakers head to Denver to play game three and are immersed in what appears to be a very tough series. Denver came within a whisker of winning game one, and after winning game two 106-103, will try and steal the home court. Everything I read about the Lakers is “how soft they are’ and other issues that seem to forget that they only lost by three points. The Lakers need to fine...

Gasol Returns as Bryant Leads Lakers Past Blazers

Kobe Bryant scored 14 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter, Pau Gasol added 10 points in his first game in nearly three weeks and the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Portland Trail Blazers 104-91 on Wednesday night.

NBA Musings: LeBron D Hurts Cavs, Where Was Bynum?, JVG on the Press, Quick Shaq Check

LEBRON D HURTS CAVSUpon re-watching the final five minutes of Game 1 of the Cavs-Magic series, we noticed that LeBron's (lack of) defense on Hedo Turkoglu down the stretch - often because he couldn't get through a high screen, forcing a switch - really hurt the Cavs.Hedo was the primary ballhandler down the stretch for Orlando on eight straight possessions. Let's break 'em down quickly...
