In between workouts Andre Iguodala appears to be having quite the eventful summer. From walking the red carpet in L.A., helping spread the gospel of hoops in China, to hanging out in Las Vegas to film the latest Nike Hyperdunk campaign. He's also participating alongside teammate Thaddeus Young in the USA Basketball Men’s National Team mini-camp that kicked off on Wednesday in Vegas as well.

While representing your country is all well and good, playing a pimped-out-gold-chain-wearing-frohawk-wearer in a Nike commercial is a certain cultural right of passage into super stardom these days.

Details on the commercial are still sketchy but Iguodala has been keeping fans abreast of the shoot via his increasingly entertaining Twitter feed. The other NBA players involved include Kevin Durant, Mo Williams, and Rashard Lewis. They all come together to form an eccentric team known as the Hyperizers whose credo seems to be "Don't Criticize, Hyperize!"

J.E. Skeets ran a caption contest on the above photo with the winner going the always reliable Sammy D. stinks route, "I pity the fool who has Samuel Dalembert as his starting center! Wait ..."

The Andre Iguodala transformation continues.

Somewhat unrelated, you have to respect Andre Iguodala's answer about halfway through this "JerseyChaser" video when asked who he prefers, Kobe or LeBron.

It's tough being an NBA super star.

News From the Front: Andre Miller (Probably) to Blazers

It looks like the Andre Miller era of Philly ball is coming to an end this afternoon. Two and a half seasons since coming from the Nuggets with Joe Smith in exchange for Allen Iverson, Miller's disenchantment with the franchise after the team's dispiriting playoff exit and the front office's lowballed contract offer (believed to be in the area of one year / six mil) had long foretold...

Andre Miller is a Blazer

by Ryne Nelson There were two “AI’s” in Philly. So the team traded the legend. There were then two “Andre’s” in Philly. So the team let the older one go. Now the 76ers finally will be alone with Andre Iguodala, and we’re not even sure if they’re entirely thrilled with the situation. But that’s a column for another day… So...

Report: Sixers No Longer Want Miller

This will surely make Lou Williams happy. His team has reportedly withdrawn their offer for Andre Miller: “If Andre Miller’s tenure with the 76ers wasn’t already over, it is seemingly another step closer. A source familiar with the situation said the Sixers have withdrawn their 1-year offer to the veteran point guard. The Sixers made that move because they believe...

Andre Miller as a Trail Blazer

This seems to be quite fair, in all respects. 33-year old Andre Miller, stuck in "Knicks are my only option" limbo for nearly a month, has apparently decided to sign with the Portland Trail Blazers. The very young, Portland Trail Blazers. If that news alone leaves you a little iffy, I can understand. You want your players to be on the same page, age-wise. You don't want to have guys...

Trail Blazers sign free agent guard Andre Miller

Blazers to Make Offer to Andre Miller

According to the RealGM.com, the New York Times was told by a Western Conference General Manager that the Blazers are ready to make an offer to Andre Miller. If this rumor is true, it will be the Blazers third attempt this offseason to land a free agent (Hedo Turkgolu and Paul Millsap). Hopefully, the Blazers will have better luck this time around and are able to lock up Miller.
