In between workouts Andre Iguodala appears to be having quite the eventful summer. From walking the red carpet in L.A., helping spread the gospel of hoops in China, to hanging out in Las Vegas to film the latest Nike Hyperdunk campaign. He's also participating alongside teammate Thaddeus Young in the USA Basketball Men’s National Team mini-camp that kicked off on Wednesday in Vegas as well.
While representing your country is all well and good, playing a pimped-out-gold-chain-wearing-frohawk-wearer in a Nike commercial is a certain cultural right of passage into super stardom these days.
Details on the commercial are still sketchy but Iguodala has been keeping fans abreast of the shoot via his increasingly entertaining Twitter feed. The other NBA players involved include Kevin Durant, Mo Williams, and Rashard Lewis. They all come together to form an eccentric team known as the Hyperizers whose credo seems to be "Don't Criticize, Hyperize!"
J.E. Skeets ran a caption contest on the above photo with the winner going the always reliable Sammy D. stinks route, "I pity the fool who has Samuel Dalembert as his starting center! Wait ..."
The Andre Iguodala transformation continues.

Somewhat unrelated, you have to respect Andre Iguodala's answer about halfway through this "JerseyChaser" video when asked who he prefers, Kobe or LeBron.
It's tough being an NBA super star.
