Pacman Jonesin':
Former New York Knicks coach and GM Isiah Thomas has reportedly had discussions with Donald Sterling about taking a position in the front office of the blighted Los Angeles Clippers. ESPN says Sterling is looking for someone to work alongside current coach/GM Mike Dunleavy and hopefully take some of the burden off him.

sterling will only hire isiah if he takes the same pay as elgin did $375k for GM.

Man....The Clippers need help....They not only need a new GM, but a new coach as well!!!!

This is almost too good to be true. One of the most inept former GMs in history trading thoughts with the worst current GM in the NBA. Every other GM in the league is licking their chops right now, waiting to unload their terrible contracts to the Clips.

Knicks Owner to Adopt D'Antoni's "Seven Seconds or Less" Approach to all Phases of Management
Roughly 90 seconds after naming Mike D'Antoni head coach of the hapless New York Knicks, owner James Dolan made "seven seconds or less" the organization's new mantra, effective immediately ? if not sooner. D'Antoni's up-tempo Suns were instructed to shoot within the first seven seconds of the shot clock; while it's a style that seems almost preposterously...
Sportable Spot Episode 39: Interview with Gus Johnson
In this week's episode of the podcast we interviewed our favorite sportscaster, Gus Johnson, who is a play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports as well as the New York Knicks. A favorite among sports bloggers, Gus Johnson has created his own trademark style of announcing, and has quickly become a household name for his energetic and sometimes out-of-this-world commentating.
New York State of Mind, Part II
Mike K. of Knickerblogger vehemently disagrees with my recent ProBasketballNews article about the New York Knicks. There are many interesting issues to examine here and I will get to thebasketball related ones shortly but first I want to touch on adifferent subject, namely who "owns" a piece of creative work? Thatquestion does not refer to copyright ownership but rather the issue...
The Frederic Weis All (Forgettable & Forgotten) First-Rounders
As we stand on the precipice of the 2008 NBA Draft, I care surprisingly little. The thing that intrigues me most is not who will be taken first overall or what draft-day trades will be consummated. What interests me is those who will be selected with one of those high picks, showered with praise and "upside potential" to the Nth degree, staked to a hearty contract all only...

NO! NOT POSSIBLE!
He's Baaaaaack! Well, almost. Isiah Thomas has been talking to the LA Clippers for a possible management role to assist GM/Coach Mike Dunleavy so says ESPN.com. Assist him in doing what, I wonder? Assist in trading away all the talent they have and accumulating a ton of overpaid power forwards maybe?

Whichever spin is put on it, Donnie Walsh was pretty much stolen from the Indiana Pacers by the New York Knicks.
And there will be spin applied.
Count on it.
For the Knicks, this is undoubtedly a step in the right direction. And if Walsh’s first move is to dump Isiah Thomas as coach, then the K...
