TO fined for his "videotaping" celebration after his TD, ridiculous!

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a TO fan; I think he's the most selfish player in modern sports and only plays for himself. With that being said however, I find the NFL's recent fining of him for the "videotaping" celebration after a TD last week to be really stupid. The imitation of the New England spying scandal got To in a lot of trouble. "Apparently, Owens was fined $7,500 for using the goal post as a prop." Goodell, you've done a lot of good punishment in your short tenure, but this one's just stupid.

Thats bullcrap. He didnt even really use the goalpost as a prop. Goodell is on a power trip. Why doesn't he fine every player that dunks over the goalpost? Finally, a T.O celebration that I like and he gets fined for no real reason. I know 7500 isnt much to T.O, but still, thats ridiculous

It's the principle of the matter, he's not doing anything wrong but Goodell wants to be a dictator.

That's awesome WJ. The first one you've ever liked and they ruined it by fining the man. LMAO!

The No Fun League has been going too far for a good 2 seasons now. I think the whole thing started as a slap in the face to Randy Moss and Terrell Owens to be honest.

I don't like TO either (in fact, I really don't like him). But this has ridiculous written all over it.

I thought it was kind of funny..I like most of his celebration dances..it just breaks up the seriousness of it. But rules are rules, which are rules that are made to be broken! How much does Chad Johnson get charged every game he does a TD?

I'm so tired of the No Fun League ruining players celebrations after scores. In the 80's it was so fun to watch what teams and players would come up with each week. Sorry NFL, T.O. is right on this one.

Crazy, I wrote damn near the same thing last night... :) http://sportsbiotch.blogspot.com/2007/09/mark-your-calendars.html

that picture is effin hilarious

does he really need to make a spectacle of every touchdown?

I agree with everyone except #8. I'm also not particularly fond of T.O. but this fine was trivial, to say the least. I rather enjoy the touchdown celebrations. It adds excitement to the sport. As long as no one is getting hurt.

my my....enough already...let them celebrate..personally I enjoy it...and personally hate t.o. but really now!!!

Um...pretty sure TO knew it was going to draw a fine. Yes it was a prop, and yeah it was clever. Had he done it against New England it would have been interesting.

If he was playing against New England, he wouldn't have been in the endzone in the first place.

It's stupid that TO thinks he needs to make up a big celebration every time he scores. He's not good enough to justify that much celebration.

He's pretty damn good, regardless of whether you like him or not, he's putting up crazy numbers each week.

Dallas has not played New England yet... That will be the superbowl game of regular season. I think its not to smart to keep sending out a fine for showing your fruit of Very Hard work.. TO not good enough? Hmmm not sure why anyone would ever say that. Chad did not get fined for sporting a jacket on the sideline... But if the player who does score does not throw the ball into the stands, and if you were a fan who did get lucky to get that ball, then they should all just leave it at the endzone like Dallas Romo did... I do not like the way the control freaks are handling the game... maybe if they were out on the feild in the middle of July sweating their butts off they would not feel there were any harm in showing off a little bit.

Amen, Brutha!
