Indy 500 and Other Thoughts

This past weekend I had the chance to go to the Indianapolis 500, it was a lot of fun. My brother, cousin, and I went and had a blast. We sat in the suites at turn 2. The front seats were like 10 feet away from the wall. There was some Indianapolis Colts players in the suite too. While i was at the race i went into the infield, where everybody was getting a little crazy. It was a lot of fun though, except things got really weird when people recognized me while i was in the rest room, people where yelling my name, thats when i knew it was time to leave. While I was driving in the golf cart heading back I would see people I know and so I would get out to say hi and then I was swarmed in like 5 seconds. So I had to stay on the move. All in all we had a great time and thanks John for the tickets.

The playoff are still going on and I've been watching bits and pieces. The teams are looking really good and I think that it will be Boston and Lakers in the championship. If that happens I think that would be really good on the league just to have that old rivalry back. With two good teams with so much history. I have no predictions on who will win it all, but I'll say the team who scores the most points has a really good chance.

"while i was in the rest room, people where yelling my name, thats when i knew it was time to leave." cant even use the restroom any more eh Greg? a suite above turn 2, that is sweet

Wow! Sounds like fun.
That must be really eerie to have people that you don't know - know you, and all about you.

Enjoy watching deep into the playoffs this year...cuz next year you guys are going to be playing deep into the playoffs. I heard a rumor of the #13 pick & Outlaw for your boy Conley. As much as I like Travis...it sure would be nice to have the two OSU boys reunited in the Rose Garden!

the rumor was Mike Miller for Trout and #13... and it was respectfully turned down.

The key to getting left alone in the restroom is to just pull your pants all the way down to your ankles and then keep turning around abruptly mid flow. Works every time. Non one will come within 10 ft of you...give or take.

tremendous advice - not to try at home i suppose

Cool.. hey greg if you haven't already watch the youtube video "adventure time" Its incredible. just like whenever you have spare time watch it. It will inspire you to do great things..

Thats awesome Greg, can't wait to see you back on the court next year!

That happens to me all the time! People are always yelling my name when I'm in the men's room! I say "What?" and they say "Stop peeing on me, the stall's over there!" Use the stall, big man. Use the stall. Make weird noises if you have to. I know when I go into a public restroom and there is an old guy in one of the stalls yelling curse words I gotta leave right away or I'm gonna bust up.

Wow, talk about immature dweebs...
*sigh*
Have fun this summer Greg...hope your game and rehab are comin' along. I got to thinking the other day...the thing that separates the good players from the bad.....the draft hits to draft busts....is how much they work in the offseason.
But anyway, good luck Greg....have a good week!

"I have no predictions on who will win it all, but I'll say the team who scores the most points has a really good chance."

I totally love this last line.

It's like the real men of genius commercial.

Hey Greg...just remember that Blazer fans are counting on you to make sure the Celtics-L*kers rivalry never gets back up and running

Greg- I am sorry I missed you, the boys said they saw you. Jonny and Pat were talking about your ride, nice! I hope I get to see you next time you are in town. Love you, take care!

Hope you enjoyed the Indy 500, and did you see Danica Patrick flip out? She was about to go up to the driver before security 'escorted' her away from him. I wanted to see her go kill that guy. That was the only part I watched up until, then I started watching other sports, (was either basketball or hockey, lol, I can't remember). Hope you had fun, and enjoy the playoffs!

Keep Blogging! ;)

PS: Did you meet any of the Colts? (21 - Bob Sanders is my favourite nfl player)

The Blazers would never trade Outlaw and some picks for Conely. Travis Outlaw has developed into a fine NBA player who is only getting better. He is a excellent athlete, is never injured, and makes shots with the game on the line literally. Not to mention the fact we have 3 point guards already, and Koponen waiting to maybe get on the roster. Than we trade Outlaw for a second year point guard? That roomer was a bad one.

It was for mike miller.

Greg, are you a big racing fan, or was it kind of spontaneous to go to the Indy 500? If you are, do you prefer NASCAR or Formula?

Greg, how's school? I'm getting ready for my finals.. Anyway, hope you have fun at the race man. Take it easy

Who do you think will win in the NBA finals? I'm going Celtics.

You need to call a "Man Code Violation" on that... I don't care if the Pope is in the bathroom. You always have a one urinal barrier (unless dividers are present) and you never make conversation with someone you don't know (it is frowned upon even if you do know them.) "This isn't 'Nam, Smokey. It's bowling. There are rules."
