Jamaal Tinsley for SALE! going once....twice...

Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said the point guard spot was solidified with the mix of newcomers T.J. Ford and Jarrett Jack and second-year Pacer Travis Diener. There was no mention of Jamaal Tinsley, who has played an average of just 49 games for the team the past five seasons because of various injuries.

"We're trying to do some things to see what's out there for Jamaal and hopefully we can get something done," Bird said. "Jamaal's been great for us. Unfortunately, he's been injured from time to time. He's still a great basketball player, but Jimmy's right. We're probably going in a different direction." -- The Indianapolis Star

I say he's headed to Denver.

denver seems like a good place, they need a PG. The warriors do to but the only person they have to trade is al harrington but i dont think they want him back.

true. there's alwas the chance of a sign and trade, but not sure who. And i believe they still have some cap room left so they wouldn't have to match salaries.

We would love Al back! The whole city of Indy was excited when we got him back and then pissed when we traded him. He loves Indy. All his family has been here since his rookie year. His cousin is one of the girls coaches at my high school and she showed us an email from him saying he missed it. We love him in Indy, the coaching staff just doesn't know how to use him right.

well in that case an al harrington tinsley trade looks pretty good. i think the indian management egos might get in the way because basically, they would have to admit to making a mistake in the trading him but i for one would b e happy with the trade. Jordan, how did the people over there take the ford/ o'neil trade?

jr. smith for jamal works good for both teams. still think jr, can flat out ball if he ever gets his head on staright.

no jr smith is not good for jamal tinsley. Jamal is washed up and was good for maybe 2 seasons. noone will take him and if they did it would be pointless because it wouldnt help their team but only hurt them.

that doesnt sound bad at all

We loved it. No one really liked Jermaine here. It didn't seem like many people cared who we got in return, just to get rid of JO. JO really didn't do much bad, but he is the face of when the franchise since Reggie retired and was supposed to keep us in contention for a while, and none of that happened. I think JO is good, but you're not in good shape if he's your go-to guy. He's a nice 2nd or 3rd option though as long as he's healthy, which has been rare.

I think you're all crazy with Al for JT or JR for JT. Tinsley isn't close to those guys in my mind. Tinsley is a guy who will miss half a season for injuries and the other half for suspensions. If he could stay healthy and out of trouble, which I doubt he can do, he's decent. I would think the Pacers would rob either team if any of those trades worked out.

If they are insane enough to trade Big AL for Jamal "I miss games when my pinky nail is broken or get shot outside a hotel" Tinsely then the pacers have to do it. He would be a great number one scorer while Rush and Hibbert get ready. Also, he wouldn't get shot at in front of new 5 star hotels, which is a concern for me. At this point if any team is willing to trade a nice pair of flip flops for tinsely, id jump all over it.
