Mavericks forward Dirk Novitski scored 29 of his 40 points in the 4th quarter to lead Dallas to a win over the Utah Jazz Tuesday night.
With 8:17 to play, Utah led 76-60. Dallas then went on a 36-9 run to end the game. Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 of 36 points in the run.

Mavericks guard Quinton Ross of SMU started tonight again but left the game with a bruised lower back in the first half and won't return against the Utah Jazz. The Mavericks started J.J. Barea at guard to start the third quarter.
Might as well rest up for tomorrow night's game at New Orleans the way the Mavs are playing. Down, 74-60, to Utah with 8:32 left in the fourth quarter.

So far, it's been hard to tell which team is playing the second half of back-to-back games.
Dallas, which has had two days off since winning at the Clippers on Saturday night, looks as sluggish as Utah, which lost at home to Houston last night.
