After the game, there was a lot of talk about whether or not Nelson should have played and if so how much.Lost in the attention was Anthony Johnson, who just like that went from backup point guard to third point guard. Quite a demotion, and just in time for the NBA Finals. That was Johnson's only DNP-CD of the playoffs.Johnson Unhappy But Not Complaining originally appeared on Fanhouse NBA Blog on Fri, 05 Jun 2009 18:55:00 EST . Please see our terms for use of feeds. According to Ric Bucher's twitter account, Jameer Nelson is going to play. Not start over Skip to my Lou. But he is going to go. And that's going to be big. Rafer Alston or Jameer Nelson? The backup who got the Magic to the Finals, or the now-healthy starter? Down 1-0, Stan Van Gundy's choice in Game 2 is critical, says Chris Mannix.
Destiny Magic
Something happened on the way to the NBA Finals. Neither the Boston Celtics nor the LeBron Cavaliers made it to face the Kobe Lakers. Actually no one should be surprised. Well not totally anyway. I was fairly certain that without Jameer Nelson at the point, the Orlando Magic would struggle with the 76ers and fall to the Kevin Garnett-less Celtics. Well the Sixers did give the magic...
