The lakers need to make a move either for Ron Artest or JO. Lakers cannot beat the superior western teams such as Spurs, Dallas, and a hot eastern team such as Celtics with the team they have now. They need 1 more player to put them into that Elite level of teams. Ron Artest would do just that. They need to get rid of players like Luke Walton (who sucks), Vlad Rad, and Sasha (Who has much improved) to reach that Elite level. They should really think about Ron Artest which would add to their defense and create another solid scorer. They need a player with the attitude and hard work that Ron Artest brings to a team. For JO, they would probably have to give up lamar odom and other players to create that trade which would probably put them into the same level. If there is a possiblity of adding Ron Artest to the starter squad and brinigng trevor off the bench would change the chances of lakers winning a title. It would be their best chance to get rid of players like kwame, vlad rad, walton, sasha and either farmar or jarvas and a chance to pick up a great player. Either get ron artest or trade lamar, farmar, and a pick for T-MAC.. Bottom line is lakers need someone big to take them to that Elite Level.

  • No to Artest. I just don;' think he's mesh with Kobe at all. I think he's a great payer, but he has a tendency to take some ridiculous shots. Only one man on the Lakers could do that. Kobe. Imagine the tension that would build when Ron tries some wild Antoine Walker/Paul Peirce-esque momentum killing 3, early in the shot clock with a about a minute left, and the game within a about 5-6 points either way. Trade Vlad Rad, Mihm, and Kwame's expiring contract for Jermaine O'Neal. Lakers get a top notch Low post defender (biggest need), and rebounder, they get rid of Kwame, and the Pacers get another shooter, rid of a growing problem in JO, and cap flexibility for next year.

Why does this Ron Artest song sound like it was recorded in his Excursion?

Why does this Ron Artest song sound like it was recorded in his Excursion? That’s because it was recorded in his Excursion. You have to forgive me if he swears during the video. I have no idea what he says half of the time.

Francisco Garcia, out for the week at least. Scott Howard-Cooper talks Ron Artest trade possibilities. Meanwhile Sam Amick talks to folks inside the team, who indicate they've made up their mind on whether to trade or not. I think we can assume which way that decision's gone. On his blog, Amic...

I shut down schools and close dyers, and stuff like that!

I shut down schools and close dyers, and stuff like that! The Basketball Jones tackles the beef between Ron Artest and Kobe Bryant. PG-13 word at the end, unless you think Ron Artest is a female dog. In that case it is perfectly fine.

Blogrolling Needs A New Area

Won't you please save a word today? Me, I'm going with boreism, or possibly namelings to describe the dozens of Ramerizi in MLB.NY Yankees Rumors.com has dozens of photos of the new yard, which looks really big and very expensive -- shocking, I am sure. His caption for the photo above ("It’s like an all Yankees Cooperstown") either shows that he's never actually...

Smush Parker Doesn’t Like Kobe Bryant Very Much

Former Laker and current free agent Smush Parker isn't a very big fan of his former teammate Kobe Bryant. Honestly I probably wouldn't be able to blame him. I imagine that playing with someone whose head is the size of Kobe's would be a pain in the ass. Kobe Bryant and Ron Artest Like [...]

Let's see how many folks we can get to post a quick "Beat L.A." in the comments. Just post it once, but let's try to get all the lurkers ...

When Keeping It Real Goes Horribly Rhetorical

"Hopefully, he's not fighting anymore and going after a guy in the stands," said Houston's Yao Ming of (probable) new teammate Ron Artest, to which the latter replied, "I guess once Yao Ming approves (the deal), I'll be a Houston Rocket."  More of Artest's rebuttal, as quoted by the Sacramento Bee's ...

The NBA Could Field a Good "All-Suspended Team" on Opening Night

You could form a decent "All-Suspended Team" with Ron Artest, Josh Howard, Stephen Jackson, James Posey and J.R. Smith, each of whom will miss at least the first game of the regular season due to suspensions.

Dude, let’s start a rock band

If you were to start a band with four professional athletes, who would you pick? Randy Johnson can smash on the drums. Bernie Williams can play the guitar. Ron Artest fancies himself as a rapper and, well, you don't have to say much about Shaq. But Guitar Hero had a few other rock stars in mind: Kobe [...]

Parker’s 28 Helps Spurs Edge Rockets 88-85

There’s one thing for certain when the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets get together: good matchups across the board.  Yao Ming vs. Tim Duncan.  Ron Artest vs. Michael Finley.  And on and on.  And the vast majority of their games are competitive.
