Agent Dagger:
Despite leading by as much as 18, the Wizards fell apart in the second half against Cleveland as they stumbled to a 102-90 loss.
Disheartening is an understatement. For Wizards fans this game was about more than a chance to improve to 3-1. It was about more than a chance to gain a win against a conference foe, or a chance to build on what was a solid start to the season. For Wizards fans it was the chance to make a statement to not only Cavs fans but the entire Eastern Conference that the Wiz are here and here to stay.
For the Wizards, this is a rivalry. The pure fact that the city of Cleveland gets its kicks out of denying that concept makes it even more of one for D.C. Each game we lose against them is a double thorn in our side as their ignorant arrogance seeps into our wound and makes us cringe.
What I’m trying to say here is, there’s nothing worse than losing the Cleveland.
That simple fact made it so much harder to watch the club self-destruct more an...

The Basketball Gods Strike: Heat Burn Wiz 93-89
Lackluster Wizards, lackluster Verizon Center … I’m not sure which bred which, but the result was an absolutely ugly opening for the Washington basketball squad. Down 31-17 after a first quarter where the Wizards shot 29.2% and committed seven turnovers (five personal and two shot clock violations), three courtesy of Caron Butler, Flip Saunders’ team [...]
Wiz TV ratings up 93 percent
Curious what a healthy Gilbert Arenas does for local interest in the Wizards? The early indications are it helps. A lot. The crowd at Wednesday night's Heat game was definitely on the late-arriving, small and quiet side, which had me once again cursing about D.C. sports. But the early-season TV ratings have been boffo. Through the first four games, the team's Comcast SportsNet broadcasts...
What is THIS all about?
Last night I noticed something a little bit disturbing. No it wasn't the Wizards terrible play, although to be honest that did make me feel quite ill. No this was much more disturbing indeed. Of course as this picture illustrates I'm refering to the knee brace that Wizards star Gilbert Arenas was wearing on his left knee.
This was the first time all season that Arenas was...

Washington Wizards guard Mike Miller sprained his left shoulder in the fourth quarter of the Wizards’ game against Miami on Wednesday night and is expected to miss seven to 10 days. Miller first hurt the shoulder in the third quarter in a collision with the Heat’s Mario Chalmers. He immediately clutched his shoulder and was taken [...]

Speeding Bullets: Don’t call it a rivalry?
The Washington Wizards are in Cleveland today to play the Trave Cavaliers. Is this a rivalry match up or just a game in early November between two conference teams with two wins apiece? It depends on who you ask. Wizards fans will likely tell you it is a rivalry.
