There were a couple of rumors that hit the internet today. First, a credible source had this to say about Bruce Bowen (Also reported on CelticsBlog: Hearing by hook or by crook – Bruce Bowen will end up a Celtic – just some buzz behind the scenes. This is interesting because of the logistics of Bowen's situation. Bowen is owed 1 more year at $4 million. The Bucks want to trade him before August 1 If they cut him before August 1, they only owe him 2 million and if they keep him beyond that, all $4 million of his contract is guaranteed. It is obvious that the Bucks aren't going to keep him. At 38 and having slowed down in recent years, he would be a good deal at the vet minimum, but not at $4 million, which would be $8 million if you figure in the luxury tax. I am thinking that all of the other teams will feel that way as well.
