I dont know how i feel about giving away a first round pick and carney. We better get something great in return ala. jsmith, brand, or emeka.

first to post this......what you guys think

Nobody wants Emeka...he is another headache that turned down a 50+ million deal... the name says it all..

emeka would fit well with our team...but i like jsmooth and brand better. if thats not possible i would like to upgrade the sg spot since green is garbage. like maggette or childress

Well you can pretty much Gaurantee we are either getting Smith or Brand. If Brand falls through then Josh Smith is ours for the taking!! No way Atlanta can match us now with 3 million more cap space.

Even with the extra space, I'm not sure I'd give Smith the same money I'd give Brand. The reason the money may or may not be enough for Brand is because he's worth big dollars. The reason that same number would assure Josh Smith is because he's probably not worth the same kind of money.

Remember, Brand, when healthy, is aproven 20 and 10 superstar who can get up and down the floor pretty well. Smith is only aspiring to be that. There's no way to justify paying Smith 15 mil in the first year of his deal having never averaged 20 and 10 in his young carreer.

If we sign Josh Smith then we would have to give the Hawks a first-round pick. Horrible trade is 2 million really that big of a deal, worth a future 1st rounder. So we would be giving up 2 first round picks carney and calvin booth to get Smith. Not worth it, wait until next year when we get Andre Millers salary off the books if we decide to let him go. 11 million plus andres 10. We could sign anyone we want, or wait until the loaded 2010 Free Agent Class with tons of money. Not a good trade at all im pissed. If we get Brand it'll be good though.

Josh Smith

we sould also include willie in this trade someway or another but tan agan no one wants him

I trust Ed Stphanski, he did a great job with the Nets and vince carter and Jason kidd.

Guys i just posted a new article from espn. Check it out!! Brand is oh soo close to becoming a sixer. http://www.yardbarker.com/nba/articles/Brand_is_gonna_be_a_sixer_ESPN_CHECK_IT/287670#add_comment

We need a guy that can make his own offense when a team (a la the PISTONS) shuts down the run. Brand is perfect for this team. I love JSmith, but we don't need more runners!

we should just welcome brand to our team right now

IT's DONE!!! He is a sixer. He verbally agreed to the deal

you got brand, congrats

Sixers starting lineup Miller, Iggy, Young, Brand and Dalembert = Contenders just add some outside shooters

yeah i agree phillyfannaz.....we got our leader for our young team and all we need is some shooters......but who? lol jj reddick
