The speculation that the new mascot of the former Seattle SuperSonics was going to be "Thunder", and now it seems official. Check out the article to see the details, but due to a slip-up by the NBA with their schedule release, the mascot name was revealed. Still waiting on any visuals...

	It sounds like a Development league team name, you can't have a team with no s at the end unless its the heat or magic, the outlaws would be good, how bout when the spurs play the outlaws, haha.

	The name sounds horrible and they should have kept the Seattle SuperSonics. If they wanted a team in OKC so badly then they should have created a new team. The NBA knows they are wrong for that name "Oklahoma City Thunder" sounds real intimidating...lol

	i wouldnt say that this is set in stone, for one that screenshot is displaying the 07-08 schedule and two, team schedule addresses are by city not by team name on nba.com at least in the format that is displayed in the screenshot. i think this is fake.
