Found March 18, 2008 on MVN:
The Lakers snapped out of the doldrums of March to play inspired ball in a win at Dallas. The Lakers had an early 21 point lead before having to fight off a frantic Dallas finish for a 102-100 victory. Dallas had the last shot, but Dirk Nowitski's three pointer was off line. The Lakers were led by Kobe Bryant with 29 points and 7 assists, and many other players chipped in as well. Vladimir Radmanovic scored 21 points and was aggressive on the boards with 10 rebounds. Lamar Odom had a double 17, with 17 points and 17 rebounds and Rony Turiaf was a maniac again blocking 4 shots.

Is Andrew Bynum done for the year?

Eight weeks have come and gone and Andrew Bynum is nowhere near being close to returning to the Lakers. The latest report has him slotted to be back by the first round of the play-offs, but even that sounds iffy at best. The problem Andrew is having is his knee is swelling up after workouts. This is typical during the early rehabilitation of any injury. The problem is, Andrew...

Something wrong with Bynum?

You who...Mr. Bynum...where are you? Laker fans, now you can start worrying about Andrew Bynum. His inured knee has kept him out more than eight weeks now, and he's still nowhere to be found. It was reported last week that he tried running at the team facility...obviously that didn't go too well. Here's my take. Andrew Bynum will undergo micro fracture knee surgery in...

Can I Write Streak?

Sure, Yao Ming is good for a laugh or two in credit card commercials. But where was the Chinese giant when his team needed him most? Or, maybe, Yao was just where he needed to be - safely injured on the sidelines - in order for the Rockets to find the inspiration to catapult to the top of the West.

Lakers schooled by Rockets 104-92

The Houston Rockets beat the Lakers 104-92 yesterday, to add to their incredible 22 game winning streak. They got off to a fast start leading by 15 at half time, and withstood a fierce run by the Lakers in the third, they closed out the game by hitting all of the big shots in the fourth quarter. The Rockets out-played, out-hustled, and out-willed the Lakers all day long. The game...

No Gasol-ine, But Lakers Coast Home

No Pau Gasol… both Andrew Bynum & Trevor Ariza still weeks away from being ready, but the Lakers are still capable of good basketball. Midway through the 3rd quarter against Dallas, in Dallas, Los Angeles were up by 25 points. The Mavericks rallied, but couldn't finish - LA running out winners 102-100.

NBA: Houston Rockets are riding high as they take on the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics edged the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, and they did it without star guard Ray Allen, and it's likely that the C's will be without Allen as they take on the Houston Rockets. The Rockets already own the second longest win streak in NBA history, at 22 games, but more importantly they take over the no. 1 seed in the Western Conference standings. But back...

Day 139 of 170: Playing Defense is Hard Work – Seattle Allows 168 Points

Line of the Night: 168 points for the Nuggets. 84 points in the first half. A 52 point win. It's no surprise then that a Denver player wins the LotN. What is the surprise is that Nugget is Marcus Camby (6.0) and he finished with only 15 points off 4-6 shooting. But unlike the Sonics, he played some defense and had 15 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 blocks in only 27 minutes of play. It...

Dirtlocker points for: Andrew Bynum, Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol, Kyle Lowry, Aaron McKie, Lamar Odom, Ronny Turiaf, Javaris Crittenton This is really something.
