Wizards' Etan Thomas has successful open heart surgery

Washington Wizards' center Etan Thomas underwent successful open heart surgery last week, a procedure that lasted nearly 4.5 hours. Now there is talk that he may be able to return by the end of the season! If I could give some advice, I'd tell him to take it easy and just return next year, don't mess around with your heart man. Good luck on the recovery.

Etan, take your time; if it is meant for you to come back this year, it will happen. Consider yourself to be truly blessed to be able to even think about playing professional sports again soon, something that is a pipe dream for the majority of us. I have a son, now 26 years of age, who had to have open heart surgery just about 10 years ago, and he is thriving. God Bless.

thanks for the comment.

Etan, my favorite Wizards player and true lyricist, I love your thrive and strength, it shows through your game and your book!! Take it easy and your fans will understand...
