Wolves Sign Richard
When Hassell was traded last night, word was that it was to first of all get rid of a guy that didn't want to be in Minnesota, but more importantly, to open up some cash for their second round pick Chris Richard.
Well, that became reality today when the Wolves signed their rookie to a contract. The terms of the deal were not released, but Richard will indeed be with the team in Turkey, as they leave later today. Richard should make the active roster this season, as the Wolves are expected to keep opening up roster spots with trades. Richard is a similar player to Craig Smith, which definitely isn't a bad thing. In addition to his toughness and defense, Richard also brings a winning attitude to the team as he is the leader at Florida for the most career victories.
