Thank You Isiah:
Brad Miller (or, as I've taken to shouting his name upon his hitting of an open three, Brad Mill-AH!)...WOW!!Joakim Noah...WOW!!! (AND **** YEAH!!!)John Salmons...WOW!Looking at the box score, it's hard to figure out how they won. The Bulls were out-rebounded (by seven on the offensive end), had four more turnovers, and were outscored by three at the charity stripe. I did the math, and efficiency-wise, the Celts actually outscored them per 100 possessions, 111.4 to 109.4. But ultimately, Boston had Ray Allen, Glen Davis...and that was it. Remove Ray from the equation, and they shot 2 for 13 from 3 pt. land. Meanwhile, Salmons and Miller combined to go 7/11 from long-distance. (Just imagine if this team still had Nocioni and Gooden...shudder!) I know it won't happen, but if someone could explain to me why Rondo shouldn't be suspended for Game 7 for his cheap-shot (and then sucker-punch) against Kirk, I'd appreciate it. I'm still trying to figure out how he stayed in this game. I'd s...

Rondo looks for the kill tonight in Chicago
The way Rajon Rondo has been carving up the Chicago Bulls, it inspired this movie poster. The blood that Rondo drew from Brad MIller’s mouth only confirmed it.

Can Chicago-Boston get any better? Bulls win game 6!
I could sit here and talk about how great game six of the Chicago-Boston series was. Heck I could talk about how great all six games have been. This is one of the best first round series of all-time, if not the best, and could go down as one of the best ever.
There were two [...]
If I Could Only Watch One Sporting Event Today ...
Today is one of the better days in the sports calendar. There are so many things happening today that you could schedule yourself where you don't have to get up from your couch. But if you told me that I was allowed to watch just one of these events, that would be a tough decision. But, I'm gonna have to make it. 1-Bulls vs Celtics: It is the Game 7 of one of the best first round...

Where's the bench?
We can point to lack of execution, missed free throws, untimely fouls, and a very good Bulls team that have pushed this opening series to a seventh game. But, where, exactly, has the bench been for the first 6 games? Take a look:
Eddie House: Averaging 4 points on 30% shooting (shot 45%, and 44% from beyond the arc, during the regular season)
Brian Scalabrine: Averaging...
A Recipe For Awesome: The Greatest, Most Amazing, Supercalifradgilistic, Barnburner, Slugfest, Heart-Stopping, Exciting, Fantastic Playoff Series Goes to Game 7
The playoff series between the Bulls and the Celtics has been the greatest playoff series I have ever seen. It has everything that anyone could ever want in a basketball series: hard hits, clutch shots, huge blocks, high energy, monster dunks, and a ridiculous amount of overtimes. In just 6 games, here are the stats [...]
Best Playoff Series Ever?
The Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls are playing in one of the greatest NBA playoff series in history. At the very least, it's the best first round playoff series ever. Hard to believe this series still has more basketball to play. The Bulls forced a game 7 after winning an historic game at the United Center in Chicago.
For the first time in NBA history, a...
Allen’s 51 Points Not Enough As Bulls Force Game 7
Boston Celtics: In yet another epic battle between the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls that saw the game go to three overtimes, it was the Bulls who would come out on top 128-127 in three overtimes despite a playoff career-high of 51 points for Ray Allen. John Salmon had 35 points to lead the Bulls [...]
Boston Celtics Lose in a Thriller
This series could be one of the best series in basketball history. The game was completly insane! It went to 3 overtimes which is the 4th time we have gone to overtime in 6 games (an NBA record) versus this young and gun Chicago Bulls team. Last night, the Professor and I put track marks in the carpet by with all of our pacing, and this game would not end. Every time you thought...
The five best playoff series involving the Suns
Photo: Eric Gay/AP
I’m kicking myself for not watching more of the Eastern Conference first round series between the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics. It could very well go down as the best NBA playoff series of all time. It’s had everything. Five games decided by 3 points or less. Four [...]
rajon-rondo-brad-miller-2009-nba-playoffs-chicago-bulls-boston-celtics
It happens in every single great basketball matchup – one team’s fan base ordains one player on the opposing team as the villain. For Boston Celtics fans, they immediately latched onto the haterade for Joakim Noah at the beginning of what has turned out to be an epic series with the Bulls. It took a [...]

Four instant classics and four overtimes weren’t quite enough for the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. On Thursday night, the two teams got tangled in what many are saying is the greatest playoff game ever, as the two teams made their fifth instant classic of the series, and tacked on three more overtimes in [...]
