MVN:
I will not pretend to be a stat guru, but there are some numbers out there that are much more valuable than others in the basketball statistical world. Adjusted plus minus numbers are among those important stats, because they give you a good idea of a player's net production on the court. Of course, no number can accurately point to the true value of a player to a team (other than his salary, I guess), but APM is right there at the top in terms of value in Statland. While I've been up to my chin in work, one of the diehards over at Blog-a-Bull posted this gem which lists the APM's and other useful stats of the current Bulls. I highly recommend taking a look, as it reveals some interesting insights, such as the discrepancy in value between Ben Gordon and John Salmons, as well as Brad Miller's stellar efficiency.(Side Note: I apologize for the long hiatus in between posts. The power forward fantasy preview should be up soon, and I will try to come up with more posts to keep you busy in the near future)
