Wizards rookie guard Bradley Beal has not been mentioned in trade discussions with the Memphis Grizzlies involving swingman Rudy Gay, according to Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein. The Memphis Commercial-Appeal reported Monday that the Grizzlies have “entertained” an offer from the Wizards that would include Beal in a larger package.”I’ve talked to both teams. There is absolutely nothing to it,” Bartelstein said. “The Wizards have made it very clear that they are not moving Brad Beal.” via Michael Lee, The Washington Post

Washington Wizards Reportedly Offered Bradley Beal For Rudy Gay

Rudy Gay, of the Memphis Grizzlies, has been on the trade block for quite sometime; it was just last week when multiple scenarios presented last week with Gay and even teammate Zach Randolph. Ronald Tillery of The Commercial Appeal reports Bradley Beal was a centerpiece for a recent offer: For example, the Griz have entertained the [...]The post Washington Wizards Reportedly Offered...

Memphis Grizzlies unlikely to trade Rudy Gay before trade deadline

The Memphis Grizzlies are likely to hang onto Rudy Gay for the remainder of this season. The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that Gay has been told that he likely won't be dealt -- unless the franchise receives an offer that it can't refuse. From the Commercial Appeal: According to a person with knowledge of those conversations, Gay is likely to remain a Grizzly...

In The Scrum With Bradley Beal

Following the Washington Wizards 93-83 win over the Atlanta Hawks, I caught up with rookie guard Bradley Beal. Beal has come on strong as of late, increasing his scoring while becoming a much more consistent defensive player. The promising rookie spoke highly of John Wall and expressed his feelings about sharing the floor with the [...]

Rudy Gay On Way Out Of Memphis?

It's not often that a team with one of the best records in the NBA is trying to sell off its top scorer and arguably its best player, but that's what the Memphis Grizzlies are working on right now with F Rudy Gay.

Bradley Beal Might Be Pretty Good

As best I can tell, today’s big news is the Wiz offered the Griz (Grizz?) Bradley Beal for Rudy Gay. A month or two ago that would not be the cause for much sturm und drang among Wizards fans (there are so many!), but take a look at Beal’s rookie season monthly splits: His minutes are up so of course his counting stats are up, but check out that field-goal percentage. That...

And one teams owner has become vocal in just how active his team will be over the next five weeks. "I would say there's a 100 percent chance we'll do something," Dallas Mavericks owner said in an interview...

Rudy Gay Says Rajon Rondo Wants Him in Boston

I realize that we’ve been reporting on Rudy Gay trade rumors like we’re ESPN covering Tim Tebow, but here’s a nice quote from Rudy Gay himself on the response he’s been getting from other players when he speaks with them about all of the trade talk (courtesy of SlamOnline.com via Yahoo! Sports): “It’s hard to talk to [Rondo] because he is always saying, ‘We need you...

Grizzlies tumble to Clippers without Gay

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Reserves Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes each scored 16 points, and the Clippers easily routed the Memphis Grizzlies 99-73 Monday night with Chris Paul missing his first game this season because of a bruised right kneecap. The matchup between two of the best teams in the West wasn't close much of the way. While Paul watched from the bench, the Grizzlies...
