Al-Farouq Aminu is finally getting minutes. Al-Farouq Aminu may finally be out of the doghouse in New Orleans. In his last two games, Aminu has played 31 and 39 minutes respectively. Earlier in the season, Aminu was posting versatile lines, but ended up in Monty Williams' doghouse. On the season, he's averaging 7.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and .4 blocks. Here are his last two lines: January 5 vs. Dallas: 10 points (3-6 FG and 4-4 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block in 39 minutes. January 2 vs. Houston: Eight points (3-8 FG and 2-4 FT), eight rebounds and an assist. Aminu is worth keeping an eye on, especially after his November. In 13 games, he averaged 9.8 points (49.5 FG% and 74.1 FT%), 7.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.8 steals and .5 blocks. If he's pulling these numbers, he's a solid cross-category contributor (except in three-pointers made).

Gordon, Davis, and Spurs’ turnovers lead to Hornets win

When a team’s star player scores 24 points, their number one draft pick controls the paint on both sides of the floor, and a team turns the ball over 19 times in an NBA game, the outcome probably isn’t good for one side. That’s exactly what happened on Monday to the San Antonio Spurs as they were defeated 95-88 at the hands of the 9-25 New Orleans Hornets (last in the Western...

By Peter Finney Jr., The Sports Xchange NEW ORLEANS – For most of this season, the New Orleans Hornets have battled NBA opponents while playing blindfolded and bound in a suffocating offensive straitjacket.
